The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s 17th Annual Space Day celebration is right around the corner! Learn more about how you can experience this exciting annual event and what you can expect while you’re there.
When is the 17th Annual Space Day?
This year, the celebration is on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can visit Space Day at the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s location in Balboa Park.
What can I do there?
During the celebration, you can experience giveaways, hands-on activities, and discussions with local space experts.
Kids will be able to enjoy fun activities such as touching a meteor, building and flying paper rockets, talking to space experts, and more!
How can I get tickets?
Admission to Space Day is included in the museum’s daily admission cost.
What else is there to do at the museum?
Currently, the museum features two special space exhibits. SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure includes the authentic Apollo 9 Command Module, moon rocks, space suits, and a Mars rover, among more! The new exhibit GALILEO: Space Visionary is a special exhibition exploring the secrets of Galileo and how his vision was groundbreaking. Visitors can see this exhibit and experience the interactive experiments included in the cost of museum admission.

Balboa Park is only a 10-minute drive from Crown City Inn, and you can also take the ferry to San Diego for an added element of fun to your day.
