Spring is here and with it comes the official golf season. We’re lucky to have lots of great golf in Coronado as well as in nearby areas. These are some of our favorite courses so you can get out on the greens and practice your swing!
Coronado Golf Course
This is one of Coronado’s most treasured attractions. The Coronado Golf Course first opened in 1957 and it’s rated as one of the best public golf courses in the United States. With beautiful views of the San Diego harbor and downtown Coronado as well as beautifully-maintained greens, this course is enjoyable for locals and visitors alike.
Balboa Park Golf Course
Balboa Park Golf Course is a par 72 course that’s both challenging and beautiful. While frequent golfers will find this course is a great way to improve their game, intermediate golfers will also enjoy their time here. Located in San Diego, less than 15 minutes from Coronado, this course is worth driving across the bridge to play. Here, you can also enjoy a driving range, pro shop, coffee shop, and putting greens.
Torrey Pines
Torrey Pines is an iconic California golf course, and if you’re coming to golf in Coronado, it’s a cant-miss. While this course is about half an hour from Coronado, it’s well worth the drive. This course offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean as you play on greens carved into the oceanside cliffs. It’s a championship 18-hole course and hosts the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open each year–so if you’re a golf aficionado, this is a course you need to play.
