Fall in Coronado is truly a season of beauty. The weather stays in the 70s during the day, with pleasantly cool temps at night. It’s the perfect outdoor weather, and perfect for escaping the colder fall temperatures you’ll find other places. So to embrace the weather, here are a few of the best fall beach activities.

Play games

Beach days don’t have to be relaxing. Some of our favorite fall beach activities are the different games you can play with family and friends. Play catch or a simple game of touch football–play in the water to add an extra challenge. Or sit on the sand and play cards, pictionary, or a good old-fashioned game of charades. And because we’ve got that perfect fall weather, you can still enjoy time outside without being too cold or hot.

Arts & crafts

If you don’t want to dive into the water, try arts and crafts instead! Embrace your creative side and draw, paint a picture of the beach, or work on your latest cross-stitch. If you really want to embrace fall beach activities, bring a pumpkin along with you and paint or carve it! Just make sure to do all your pumpkin prep in advance.

Have a picnic

One of the nice things about the cooler fall weather is that perishable food items won’t spoil as fast as they do in the summer. This makes having a picnic on the beach one of our favorite fall beach activities! Pack sandwiches, fruit, or snacks and relax with a beautiful water view.

Exercise!

There is nothing quite as exhilarating as exercising on the beach. With the sand and waves surrounding you, what can be a chore becomes fun. Go for a run and enjoy the feeling of sand under your feet. Do some early morning or late evening yoga and find a meditative peace unlike anywhere else.
