What is Bike the Bay?
Bike the Bay is a fun community bike ride for riders of all abilities to explore the San Diego and Coronado areas by bike. Jump on your bike and ride along this scenic route. One of the unique opportunities Bike the Bay provides is the chance to bike over the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.
When is Bike the Bay 2019?
Bike the Bay 2019 will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
The ride starts at 6:30 am and the post-ride festival ends at 12:30 pm.
What is the route?
During Bike the Bay 2019, you’ll bike through the San Diego Bay, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, and National City. The ride will begin and end in San Diego.
The post-ride festival will take place at Embarcadero Marina Park in San Diego.
What is the skill level required for this ride?
This is a non-competitive ride, so anyone who enjoys bike riding can participate! Bike the Bay is designed to be a scenic ride and the course is primarily flat, so it will be an enjoyable ride for bikers of all abilities.
For the safety of all riders, no participants under the age of 10 are permitted.
What can I expect from the post-ride festival?
The post-ride festival is the perfect place to celebrate with family and friends after you Bike the Bay! This free festival offers entertainment, vendors, local businesses, food trucks so you can purchase food, and a beer garden. Bring your family and friends (even the non-riders) to this festival and enjoy the day!
