June 9 - July 27 The Art of Seth Fisher An exhibit of Seth's original work, plus some information about how comic books are put together.  Exhibit held at the Coronado Library, 640 Orange Ave.  (619)522-7390 for more information.
1st & 3rd Sundays of every month Art-in-the-Park Spreckels Park, between 6th & 7th on Orange Ave., 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The park turns into an outdoor gallery as more than 50 artists display and sell their art.

Coronado Playhouse

every Sunday Summer Concerts in the Park A special community tradition in Coronado is going to summer concerts in the park. Starting at 6pm unless noted otherwise, a free concert at Spreckels Park.  Get there early to grab a seat!  To see a schedule of concerts, visit coronadovisitorcenter.com.
June 28 Loews Surf Dog Competition See Spot surf during the Loews Dog Surfing Competition – the nation’s original surfing competition for man’s best friend. There’s no "dog-paddling" for these surf dogs. Canine counterparts are invited to hang 10 (errr, 20) for a great cause.

July 4 4th of July Celebration A day full of fun and celebration...

7am-  33rd Annual Independence Day 15K-5K Run/Walk. More info at kathyloperevents.com

9am-  50th Annual Rough Water Swim.  More info at CNSAswim.com

10am- 60th Annual Independence Day Parade, this year's theme "America's Spirit".  Parade route is down Orange Avenue, starting at 1st Street, ending at Churchill Place.

9pm-  Fireworks over Glorietta Bay, best viewing from the golf course.

July 26 Free Summer Outdoor Movie The "Bee Movie" is being provided by the San Diego Unified Port District, starting at 8pm in Tidelands Park.  Arrive early for a good spot!  Bring your lawn chairs, some blankets, the kids and a picnic dinner to this great evening of big screen entertainment.  Movie concessions (popcorn, soda, and candy bars) are being provided by the Village Elementary and Strand Elementary parent/teacher organizations.

Farmers Market

Every Tuesday 2:30pm-6pm Farmers Market Every Tuesday of the month, look for fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, jams, etc. from local growers, located at the Ferry Landing Marketplace, First Street on the Bay.

Activities For Kids
