In addition to the smell of fresh ink pressed against crisp pages, there’s always something tempting you to explore the interior, and their Kids’ Corner makes it easy to peruse the shelves or enjoy a “Meet the Author” session free of distraction. Just a short stroll away from the Inn, the staff here is friendly and obliging, but more importantly, they know their literature.

Second Hand Prose
Have a little pun in the sun at Coronado’s gently-used bookstore! Located along “D” Avenue, Second Hand Prose ensures all proceeds go toward programs funded by Friends of the Library at the Coronado Public Library including Summer Festival of cultural programs, computer database subscriptions, audiobook collections, concerts, exhibits, and more. Open Monday through Sunday, we suggest you give it a shot!
The Library Shop
When you’re itching to venture a little further, San Diego’s The Library Shop comes highly recommended, similar to its wide selection. This non-profit, however, sells more than just books; here you’ll find jewelry, candles, travel essentials and more. One thing’s for sure, any item you purchase will surely contribute to your own life’s tale!
Coronado Public Library
You’re bound to acquire a few new goodies during vacation, so when you’re pressed for room in that suitcase you can always rely on the library for a good read! Even better? Their calendar is filled with endless activities for the entire family from Watercolor Class to Spanish Song & Story, from Toddler Time to Teen School Year Parties. You can find this community gem along Orange Avenue only a half block from Crown City Inn.
